Random Riffage: Eastbound and Down

I don’t usually listen to country, but when I do it’s Jerry Reed’s “Eastbound and Down”. Better known as the theme song for the ’70’s classic, “Smokey and the Bandit” the song is just as classic as the movie itself. A banjo backed romp through good times and fast cars, you can’t not smile.

One morning after a night of heaving drinking, I awoke to find a room full of sleeping drunks, this song cranked on the stereo and Burt Reynolds on the TV, just smiling at me. True Story.
